Revamp Festival 2025 takes place on 29th August at MADhouse Lagos, to celebrate sustainable fashion, with clothing upcycling, eco-friendly workshops, and restorative wellness.

Revamp Festival 2025 promises a restorative session for upcycling fashion and networking
What if I told you there are other ways you could redesign your pile of old clothes into something fresh and stylish? Those forgotten pieces in your wardrobe that are just too old to be worn don’t have to end up in the trash.
I look into my wardrobe, and half the time I’m confused about what to wear, not because I lack clothes, but because I think I’ve worn most pieces so often that I’m tired of repeating them. Other times, they simply don’t fit the occasion.
Every time, I make a mental note to buy more versatile outfits. But here’s the truth: no matter how many new clothes I add, boredom eventually sets in. And like most people, when I get tired of those clothes, I either dump them or let them gather dust.
The problem is bigger than us. What feels like a personal wardrobe crisis is part of a global environmental issue. Discarded clothes contribute to the millions of tonnes of textile waste that end up in landfills every year, much of it made from fabrics that take decades to decompose.
What we need is a way to style what we already own into something new. That’s where upcycling comes in. Unlike simple restyling, upcycling transforms what already exists into something new. Imagine hand-dyeing your forgotten white shirt or turning your old jeans into a jacket, a belt, or a tote bag.
Instead of throwing clothes away, upcycling gives them a second chance.
Let’s be honest, the way we dress often affects how we feel. Revamping your wardrobe can restore confidence, spark creativity, and give you that sense of renewal you’ve been craving.
Revamp Festival, a clothing upcycling event and wellness experience, is the opportunity to do so. It is a dual restorative journey for both our wardrobes and our well-being.

What’s even better, Revamp festival isn’t just a fashion event. It’s a space to connect with new people, have real conversations with like-minded individuals, and create memories worth reliving.
At Threadit, we’ve always believed fashion should do more than just look good. It should feel good, too. That’s why we’re excited about Revamp Festival ’25.
It is organised by Seun’dele, a sustainability‑driven lifestyle brand founded by Nigerian textile designer Oluwaseun Oyedele. Its 2025 edition is in partnership with MADhouse, and is set to be held at the MADhouse by Tikera Africa, Lagos on Friday, August 29th.

Oyedele’s journey began at home, watching her parents upcycle faded clothes instead of discarding them. She later experimented with her old garments, using them to refine her hand-dyeing skills.
At Seun’dele, sustainability is a return to roots. Each piece is handcrafted using traditional dyeing, printing, and painting techniques, which celebrate heritage and elevate the slow fashion movement.
What started as a way to extend the life of clothes has grown into a deeply rooted, sustainable practice and a lifestyle brand.
“Wellness and sustainability go hand in hand because how we care for the Earth is how we care for ourselves. A sustainable world begins with well people, rested, conscious and whole,” said Seun Oyedele.
Revamp Festival carries the ethos of sustainability into an immersive community experience. On the day of the event, the MADhouse will be transformed into a vibrant hub for upcycling, conscious fashion, and soulful wellness communion.

Here’s what you can expect at Revamp Festival:
- Hands-on upcycling workshops using diverse textile techniques like macrame, weaving, patchwork, tie-dye, painting and more.
- Restorative wellness sessions
- Live music performances
- A curated marketplace featuring sustainable brands
- Limited edition, hand-dyed, thrifted Seun’dele pieces.
- A swap shop where you can swap your beloved pieces with other pre-loved pieces of the same quality.
- Networking opportunities, interactive games, and a creative photobooth.

It’s more than an event, it’s a chance to be part of a community that’s reshaping fashion in Nigeria. And we at Threadit are excited to partner with Revamp Festival to invite you into that experience.
